An atmospheric partial ruin
Old St Leonard's was abandoned in the 1860s when a new church was built.
It is now partially ruined and only the chancel (previously used as a mortuary chapel) still has its roof.
The chancel contains some interesting artefacts including benefaction boards, a bier, font, bell and many elegant memorials on the walls.

Access information
From a track at the end of Duck street, entrance is through a swing cattle-proof gate over the grass churchyard (no path).
Entrance to the church is through the ruined nave to the west door on the chancel. There is a single step to the chancel from the grass-covered nave.

St Leonard's Church Sutton Veny is available to hire.
Due to its historic nature it does not have water and toilets. It does have lighting and power.
It has fixed pews and can accommodate up to 60 people including performers.
