Filming

We welcome filming at most of our 356 churches and have hosted a range of productions from silver screen blockbusters to television documentaries. We have a range of beautiful churches all around the country, with a variety of sizes and styles of architecture, and one of the great advantages of using our churches is that they are no longer used for regular worship, making them extremely flexible for filming.

We allow a wide range of productions and subject matters to be filmed in our churches. All our sites are still consecrated and we review each enquiry we receive on a case by case basis.

The churches in our care have been used as locations for films including Four Weddings and a Funeral,  Mary Queen of Scots, The Wolfman and Commander,  as well as TV shows including Midsomer Murders, Peaky Blinders, Gentleman Jack, Poldark and ITV's Victoria, to name but a few.

If you would like to enquire about hiring one of our churches specifically for filming, please complete our Film Hire Enquiry Form below and email the completed form to filming@thecct.org.uk for review, at least 30 days prior to the hire date. Please note that completing and returning this form is not proof of booking or confirmation of hire.
