Craftsmanship Success at Little Stonham
We are delighted to share the news that our project at St Mary’s Little Stonham (Stonham Parva) has won the RIBA Suffolk Craftsmanship annual award. Our huge congratulations go to the fantastic team at F A Valiant & Sons, and consultants Freeland Rees Roberts Architects, Hockley & Dawsons, Press & Starkey, and Phil Parker Associates. The project for the essential repairs and conservation of the beautiful medieval double hammerbeam roof has been made possible thanks to the Culture Recovery Fund, Heritage Stimulus Fund grant programme.
Gabriella Misuriello, Head of Conservation said: I am delighted that the great skills of the team and the high-quality conservation have been recognised. It is success stories such as this that might inspire the next generation to pursue apprenticeships and a career in heritage and traditional construction. We are always very proud to contribute to and support that as much as we can.
