The Queen of the Marsh

This thirteenth-century church has a tall, slender spire, which for centuries has guided sailors along the Lincolnshire coast, giving the church the nickname of 'The Queen of the Marsh'.

The building is mainly from the thirteenth century, but the tower and spire were added somewhat later, and many windows were inserted in the fifteenth century.

Its spacious interior contains a superbly fifteenth-century font carved with the instruments of the Passion.

This church costs £2370 a year to maintain. Please make a contribution towards it's upkeep at our donate page: http://bit.ly/31Vj601
