Consultant Framework Agreement Review 2022

We will be undertaking a formal review (which happens every 6 years) of all appointments under the Consultant Framework Agreement during the autumn of 2022. This gives the Trust and consultants a regular opportunity to review working relationships and plan for the future.

Caring for 1,000 years of English history

Conserving exceptional churches

All churches in our care are listed, mostly grade I, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments. They are worthy of preservation for a wide variety of reasons, all linked to their historic, architectural or cultural significance.

All churches, while buildings of national and sometimes international significance, are local treasures that add to the quality of life of the place where they stand. Local communities have taken care of these buildings for generations, adapted them and kept them safe. At the CCT we share our skills and our knowledge to support communities to continue to care for their buildings.

In planning the conservation programme of maintenance and repair, our priority is to keep all churches structurally sound, weathertight and safe to use for communities and visitors to enjoy.

Consultant Framework Agreement Review 2022

In common with other government-sponsored and statutory bodies, we have a duty to ensure transparency and economy of service procurement whilst maintaining the best possible level of care for all churches in our care.

We will be undertaking a formal review (which happens every 6 years) of all appointments under the Consultant Framework Agreement during the autumn of 2022. This gives the Trust and consultants a regular opportunity to review working relationships and plan for the future.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from suitably-qualified architects and surveyors with a track record of caring for historic buildings and churches in the English regions, with availability and willingness to work with community groups. These expressions of interest must be submitted in the form of the Qualification Statement down-loadable from this page, and submitted in electronic form to cfareview2022@thecct.org.uk by 30 September 2022.

The current Memorandum and Form of Agreement between Trust and Consultants may also be consulted on this page. Offers of appointment will be made by end of November 2022, and the Form of Agreement for 2023-2028 will be issued for signature in December. All queries can be sent to cfareview2022@thecct.org.uk
